Depending on their prior knowledge, we could include additional bespoke elements written with the words of selected family/friends too e.g. a themed reading or well-wishing.

Familiar ceremony ingredients may feature such as narrative passages, readings and a symbolic act, but appropriately tailored to an engagement ceremony rather than wedding celebration.

Such ceremonies lend themselves well to intimate events attended only by close family and friends, perhaps in contrast to the wedding you have planned later.

Engagement ceremonies don’t have to take place in a grand setting, more familiar can be better, as long as a relaxed formality can be achieved.
