Reasons to choose a Celebrant wedding ceremony

Reasons to choose a Celebrant wedding ceremony

There are so many reasons to choose a Celebrant-led wedding ceremony, but I’ve focused on the top ten below. Sorting the legal side of things separately needn’t be a hassle, in fact it can sometimes work out better that way. So if you’re interested in making the most of all a bespoke ceremony could add to your day, do read on.

1. Celebrant ceremonies are unique

My ceremonies are entirely bespoke, written by me using my clients’ own words. A Registrar-led wedding might have the odd section that’s personalised, but this is a completely different kind of script. The whole thing is you from start to finish – even more so because of the innovative 3 phase process I’ve been developing since 2010.

2. So much more than ‘just’ a ceremony

When you book your Registrars, once you’ve sorted out the paperwork, little else happens before the big day itself. When you sign up to creating a truly bespoke ceremony, you begin a very personal journey with each other and with your Celebrant. This is particularly true of a Your Three Days wedding, as you’ll see in my 500+ reviews.

3. The difference between ‘personalised’ and ‘bespoke’

Registrars may say you don’t need to choose between a ‘personalised ceremony’ and one that is legally binding. This isn’t just about being able to choose your own readings though. This is about you capturing all your reflections, emotions and hopes into words so a professional writer like me can then weave them into a beautiful one-off script.

4. The key role good writing can play

One of the main things that distinguishes Celebrants from Registrars is the fact they can write their own scripts, so there’s great freedom of expression. That doesn’t always mean the same calibre of writing though. That’s why I always share extracts when I chat to couples and I encourage them to do the same with any other Celebrant they contact.

5. Performance abilities guaranteed

As an experienced Celebrant with a publicly reviewed track record, I rely on my social skills, presence and presentational abilities every time I work. This skillset is a huge part of the reputation I’ve built up over the last decade and more and clients have highlighted time and again the difference my performance made to their whole day.

6. Getting to know your Celebrant

One of the most rewarding aspects of my job are the relationships forged with my couples. You just don’t get that with a Registrar. Clients often keep in touch, some even sending me anniversary messages long after their big day and many of my testimonials mention it felt like a friend was leading their ceremony. I’m always very proud of that.

7. A very different experience on the day

Registrars meet you, lead your ceremony and they go. I’ll have guided you through a rehearsal before your day, I’ll be there at least an hour before your guests, taking care of all the little details that will make such a difference to you and your loved ones’ ceremony experience and I’ll stay, help and have a drink with you all afterwards too.

8. All the extras a Celebrant can bring

Bespoke writing is a wonderfully flexible and adaptable form of expression – even after all this time I’m still learning all it’s capable of. My core script would be written with your words , but over the years, I’ve developed all sorts of additional ways of writing with your loved ones’ words too e.g. bespoke readings, symbolic act passages or well-wishings.

9. A sole focus on realising your ceremony’s potential

As I say in my wedding brochure, once you book me, I’m all-in, 100% invested in helping make your ceremony (and day) the best it can be. I bring 15 years’ experience of the widest range of ceremonies you can imagine – an innovative skillset that could only have been gathered through hundreds of completely unique scripts, couples and occasions.

10. The right ceremony’s legacy

One of the main reasons couples come looking for the very best Celebrant-led wedding ceremony they can is they want theirs to be memorable. The right bespoke ceremony stands out far more, engages people far more fully and lasts far longer in the memory, as my 500+ reviews make clear. It’s an extraordinary legacy for any wedding day to leave.
