Yorkshire Humanist Celebrant | Yorks, Peak District & North West
I was a secondary English teacher for 10+ years, ultimately as a Head of Department in Suffolk. Relocating to Yorkshire, I came across the idea of training as a Humanist Wedding, Naming, Vow Renewal and Memorial Celebrant with Humanists UK. It turned out to be the new challenge I’d been waiting for. I now work as a HUK Accredited Humanist Celebrant across Yorkshire, Lancashire, Manchester, Cheshire and Derbyshire.
Everything changed from there: timetables, bells and marking one minute; ceremonies, writing and self-employment the next. Different worlds, but luckily a host of transferable skills.
Starting life in 2010, Your Three Days soon grew: over the last 14 years as a Celebrant I’ve had the pleasure of leading nearly 400 ceremonies and for the widest range of clients imaginable.
It’s an honour to be invited into people’s lives, to celebrate their marriages and vow renewals, their newborn babies and established families, the lives of their lost loved ones.
‘We knew we’d be privileged to have Hannah as our humanist Celebrant for our wedding. On the day, undaunted by severe weather, Hannah and her husband WALKED 10 miles, over the moors, to make sure she was there. Amazing!’
Melanie + Gareth*
From castles to campsites, village pubs to iconic landmarks, on a boat at sea to the deep end of a swimming pool (empty), I’ve led Your Three Days ceremonies almost everywhere.
With every one of the wonderful ceremony experiences I’ve been lucky enough to have, I’ve always tried to keep learning, honing my craft in a totally unique way and adding to my skillset.
Hopefully my 500+ testimonials will give you a sense of the difference that’s made and how much my weddings, namings, vow renewals and memorials have come to mean to my clients.
The more my bespoke writing has flourished, so my offer has extended, but it’s my work as a humanist Celebrant in Yorkshire and beyond that’ll always be at the heart of it all.
