Chadkirk Chapel Humanist Wedding, Stockport | Lucy + Tommy
Lucy and Tommy’s humanist wedding ceremony at Chadkirk Chapel in Stockport was full of humour and heartfelt sentiment.
I’d sensed from our first phone call that the couple would be a lot of fun to work with and I certainly wasn’t disappointed. Just across the river from the family farm, the charming deconsecrated Chapel at Chadkirk is a unique place that’s well known to Tommy and Lucy since they walk their dogs nearby – in other words the ideal venue for them to use for their ceremony.
After 14 years together, Tommy and Lucy saw their wedding as a celebration of everything they’ve done and all that they share. Both their question and answer vows and ring exchange paid tribute to how special and significant their friendship is to them before their mothers bound their hands with ribbons during their hand-fasting.
As the sun shone, guests enjoyed the beautiful garden at Chadkirk before the bride and groom left in a vintage car. It really was a perfect August wedding day.
‘Thank you so much for your email and everything you did to make our day truly wonderful.
The humanist ceremony was perfect and so many people have commented on it being the best wedding ceremony they have ever been to. I know I’m biased but I have to agree. It was perfect and captured everything about mine and Tommy’s life together.
We had the most amazing day and we thank you for the enormous part you played in making it so special.
Thank you once again for all your help, support and words of wisdom leading up to the big day. It really was everything we could have wished for and more.
Kind regards,
Lucy and Tommy Xxx’
