Manchester Naming Celebrant
Hannah Wroe Gill has been leading beautiful bespoke naming ceremonies as well as celebrations of adoption and celebrations of family across Manchester and Greater Manchester for the last 15 years. In that time she’s worked closely with all sorts of wonderful families, often returning to name further children at a later date. Over 500 glowing testimonials speak to her passion for what she does, her innovative approach and the great care she takes with all her clients. Hannah explains more about her work as a Manchester naming Celebrant below.
‘Designing, writing and leading unique naming ceremonies is such a pleasure and a privilege. Often, the parents I work with are so caught up in the everyday that it can feel like these precious early months with their new arrival are flying by all too fast. So actually taking the time to capture their emotions, insights and hopes for the future in words, with support from me, can often mean so much. Not only does it create a joyful naming ceremony to share with family and friends, but the script itself can then be enjoyed again and again afterwards.
Once you’ve told me more about yourselves, we’d work out exactly what you want your naming ceremony to focus on. Would you like to reflect on how you became a family, for example? Or would you rather concentrate more on how life is now you’ve become parents? Would you like to make promises to your child as part of the ceremony? If so, would you also like to ask certain special people to make promises too as guide-parents perhaps? There are so many ways you can recognise and include those who are most important to you within the ceremony itself. I can also work directly with your guide-parents on their promises if you’d like me to, so they remain a surprise for you on the day.
Once we know the kind of ceremony we’d like to create, I’ll ask you to answer some bespoke questions I’ll have sent you, so that I can then write with your own considered and heartfelt words. This is crucial to the quality of my scripts and success of my ceremonies and something I’m particularly known for. When I have all the information I need, I’ll create our first draft and once the script is exactly as we want it, I will then co-ordinate everything ceremony-related on the day, so all you need to do is make the most of the experience itself.’
